Chris Grey (left) led our presence at the annual Highland Gathering in Rothampsted Park, fronting our stand with its new easily seen banner. (The next door ‘prize every time’ added a sense of fun!) Lots of newsletters were handed out and several new members recruited. Chris Marsden also took the opportunity to be interviewed by Sarah Morris of Radio Verulam. (see picture below which also includes Phil Richards, the radio show’s presenter).
7th July: Over 2000 copies of Harpenden Society News were handed out to commuters this morning between the hours of 6 to 930am. This was a first step in our awareness raising campaign about the work of the Society. We now await responses. Many thanks to Peter Barrett, Chris Grey, Richard Thomas, Eric Midwinter and John Davis for their enthusiastic participation as distributors.
